MULBARTON TOURNAMENT – 16TH MAY
Thankfully a dry but very breezy day for the competition at Orchard Park. The boys did really well, winning all their league games against Mulbarton B, Wymondham B and Jex, with no goals conceded.
The semi-final saw us drawn against Poringland, and again the boys won without conceding a goal. The final meant playing Jex, who had beaten Mulbarton A in their semi. All the boys were really up for this, with Jex being one of our main rivals from the league. They played some excellent football, and came out 5-1 winners, not even giving Jex a chance to get into the game.
Very well done to Olly, Ben, Mark, Jack Lucas, Jack Garwood, Jack Digman and Will – a great victory, and well deserved! Another trophy for polishing...
WATTON TOURNAMENT – 6TH JUNE
A lovely sunny, breezy day greeted us at Watton, as the boys attempted to make it a hat-trick of wins at this tournament.
There were 6 teams in our league, with the team getting most points ending victorious. We won 4 games – Wymondham 1-0 (Danny), Rocklands 2-0 (Jack G 2), Hethersett 1-0 (Reuben) and Attleborough 1-0 (Dom). This left us needing just one point from our final game against Watton, which was obtained from a 0-0 draw.
A great achievement for the boys, and thoroughly deserved. Very well done to Olly, Ben, Dom, Danny, James, Alex, Reuben and Jack G. Also a big thanks to Jes in his ‘managerial’ capacity.
